Beginners workshops - now fully booked for 2011
Thought about keeping honeybees yourself but don’t know where to start?
The Norfolk Beekeepers Association are holding a Beginners’ Workshop
aimed
specifically at those who are interested in keeping honeybees and wish to know
a
little more about them and what is involved in beekeeping.
The morning will start with slides and a talk about the honeybee and its activities.
After this we shall have a coffee break during which you will have the opportunity
to
see various items of beekeeping equipment, talk to beekeepers to ask questions.
We will then move to the Easton College apiary where we shall open beehives
and
you will be able to get a close up of bees at work. Protective clothing will
be provided
where necessary.

Time: 9.30 am to approx.12.30 / 1pm
